I believe a successful art education engages young minds through encouraged exploration, creative problem-solving, and self expression. I take pride in the work I do, as well as the strong relationships I’ve built with students and colleagues. I firmly believe in working hard, working together and having fun along the way. Art Beyond The Classroom
As an Art teacher I aim to expand my talents beyond the classroom in leading several contests, fundraisers, club events, summer camps, recitals, and art shows!
ART SHOWS
Student Work Featured
As an Art teacher I am passionate about celebrating my students art accomplishments. This year we were able to have an in person art show open to both students and the community.
Aside from art shows, I celebrate student artwork throughout the school building by featuring their art both on digital and bulletin displays.
S.A.D.D CLUB ADVISOR
Student Against Destructive Decisions
As the S.A.D.D Club Advisor I was able to both get involved & celebrate the arts in the Massapequa community through numerous events like SAFE Halloween!
STUDENT COUNCIL ADVISOR
Class of 2025
As the Student Council Advisor I collaborated with district staff, students, and outside organizations like ALS - Ride for Life.
Club objectives were to develop leadership skills, raise school spirit, raise class funds, give back to the community, and experience a network of opportunities throughout the school environment.
Student Government officers planned activities including homecoming, spirit weeks, class fundraising, class trips,student advisory council functions and shared decision making committee initiatives.
SUMMER FINE ARTS CAMP
Mixed Media,1st-8th grade Students
Each summer I take pride in running a Mixed Media camp within the community for students in grades 1st-8th grade. The Summer Fine Arts Camp is supported by NASSAU BOCES.
CONCERT COVER DESIGN
Cross Curricular Collaboration
Art students were given the opportunity to design a concert cover either digitally or traditionally. All concert covers were then approved, printed, and mass distributed for district concerts!
